Update 12/21/2009 Santamobile has been again cancelled this evening due to poor street conditions. We will re-evaluate the situation again tomorrow and are hopeful that Santamobile will get out to visit the community. Please shovel your walk ways and be careful if you venture out on the roads. |
Update 12/20/2009 Santamobile has been cancelled this evening. Street conditions are improving but are still poor and melting snow is predicted to freeze after sunset. We are hopeful that Santamobile will make it out tomorrow. |
Update 12/19/2009 Santamobile has been cancelled this evening due to inclement weather. We hope to bring Santa back out tomorrow evening if the streets are cleared. |
Update 12/18/2009 Rudolph made a mistake this evening and took Santa on the route intended for Dec. 19th. He appologizes for the inconvenience and looks forward to bringing Santa back to those who were expecting him this evening on our first available make-up night, currently Dec. 20th. |

Each year the volunteers of the Falls Church Fire Department decorate the reserve pumper and escort Santa Claus through the streets of the Greater Falls Church area between 6:30 and 9:30 PM. As indicated on the map below, the first five nights are dedicated to specific areas within the City of Falls Church proper, with the 20th, 21st, 22nd, and 23rd reserved for make-up nights and excursions into neighboring Arlington and Fairfax Counties. The weather conditions make our schedule subject to change. Every effort is made to keep this web page updated to reflect Santa's revised schedule. The latest revision time is noted at the bottom of this page. We respectfully request that you refrain from calling the fire station for information on Santa's intended routes.
PLEASE NOTE: Santa's helpers will be handing out candy canes and fire safety literature during Santa's rounds. Anyone who wishes to receive these free items are encouraged to greet Santa at the curb if possible. This provides the safest conditions for Santa's helpers and ensures they have an opportunity to visit the largest number of our friends and neighbors.
