David Schild has been a volunteer with the FCVFD for almost a decade. He has Virginia state certifications in both Fire and EMS and can regularly been seen on Truck 106 or Ambulance 102. As a VDFP instructor David also enjoys teaching a variety of topics to new recruits and members of the public who wish to learn more about emergency services. In addition to serving as Vice President, David also acts as the department quartermaster, procuring and distributing uniforms and equipment for the departments operational personnel.

Originally from Naperville, IL, David attended George Washington University in D.C. where he received both bachelor and masters degrees. He currently works in the government relations office for United Technologies, a global aerospace and technology company. David and his wife Melissa live in Falls Church.
